It is always nice to add a bit of animation to a website and all the better if rendered with CSS and JavaScript so it is iPad/iPhone friendly.
The Flux Slider project is a free and open source way to create smart image transitions with the use of CSS3 and jQuery.
My favourite is the ‘concentric’ transition (seen below), but have a look at the 3d transitions in Safari – they are pretty inspiring.
